No need to forsake the extra dose of sweetness that powdered sugar provides. Potato starch is a seamless substitute for cornstarch. View more Passover menu ideas in our slideshow.
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon potato starch
  • Equipment:

    an electric coffee/spice grinder
  • Grind sugar and potato starch together in grinder until powdery.
Cooks’ note: Powdered sugar keeps in an airtight container at room temperature 1 month.
